Dinner Date Night with Daddy!

So, Stephanie was invited to a "Girls Night In" tonight. This means that it's my first full night with Emma by myself...and Steph's first full night away from her...sorry Steph, I know you're sad :(

Well, I had to get up at 4:30 am this morning and didn't feel like cooking. Instead of spending 10 minutes to prepare something for both Emma and I, I decided to drive 20 minutes and take her out to eat.

I said, "Emma, where do you want to go?"

Her reply was, "Anywhere you want as long as it's classy!"

I thought about it long and hard...37 seconds later... I had made up my mind but I didn't reveal the location to her because I wanted it to be a surprise.

I won't tell y'all (that's for you Kim) either...instead, I put together a few "picture-hints" below to see if you can figure it out. Any self respecting Californian will know from "Hint #3" alone. But for those who are not fortunate enough to be Californians...I included 3 additional hints. So without further ado...

Here they are...

The Reveal is below...

I wanted to initiate her into the world of hamburgers properly, so In-N-Out was the obvious choice. For what it's worth G-Ma Dryer...I would have taken her to get a "Big Boy" but didn't know where to get one around here. Regardless, I think she liked it...

Ultimately, what did we discover with our trip to In-N-Out?

This last picture depicts Emma attacking my "Double-Double-Animal Style". Again, for those unfortunate "non-Californians"...Animal Style at In-N-Out results in your burger being covered with grilled onions and there special sauce (aka Thousand Island). She loved it! Next time, I won't order her the basic burger, cheese, and bun.

I Love You Stephanie!

Oh, and surisingly so...it was quite a clean meal as well.

You can take the boy out of the South, but you can never take the South out of the boy. =)

p.s. Throw some "fixin to's" in next time.

I knew it just by reading the description!! I'm def. not a californian, but I have had the pleasure of living in the state off and on (that counts for something, right?!) Looks like Emma enjoyed that burger!

David is here for the weekend! We were actually just talking about In-N-Out last night. David wants me to take him there this weekend. Def. a classy location! :)

WOW! A big burger for a big, little girl - even if it wasn't a
Big Boy I could tell she just
loved it - but I think spending
special time with Daddy is what she
loved even more. Take care and we
love you and Steph and Emma, Too.
