Happy 1st Birthday Emma!!!

I can't believe that my baby is already a year old! I woke up this morning going over her delivery and how a little 7 lbs 13 oz girl changed my life forever. The last year has gone by so fast. Emma is definitely the light of our lives and we can't imagine life without her. She is learning and doing so many different things each day. She now says "pup" for cup, mommy, daddy, Ali, tries to say kitty, is starting to "read" books, and can sign more, all done, and milk. In just the last couple of days she began pointing to objects and trying to talk about them. Yesterday as we were driving home, I found her looking at herself in the mirror, pointing at the mirror, and "talking" about something. She is trying to mimic everything Todd and I do and trying to say what we say. She is still pretty unsteady on her feet, but has taken 6 steps independently. She crawls up the stairs like a champ and loves to crawl over any obstacle. That is way Daddy surprised Emma with a membership to My Gym last night! It is so exciting to watch her learn and grow, but sad at the same time because she is not a baby anymore. I can't wait to see what this next year brings us!

We are getting her 1 year pics done on Tues and will post them as soon as we can.

Emma woke up early enough for Daddy to say Happy Birthday before he left for work!


Emma loves Super Why and I have been trying to get this on video for a while now, but every time she say the camera she stopped dancing. For those of you who don't watch this show, at the very end the 4 characters do a little dance and Emma dances along.
